Community Enhancement Projects
We are committed to supporting specific projects in the Nye area that benefit our community.
For example, in 2016 the NCF helped fund the Nye School Walking Path.
Other efforts have included improving fishing accesses and boat ramps on the Stillwater River.
Scholarships
Every year local students are awarded scholarships to help them pursue their dreams in continuing education.
Graduating seniors are eligible to apply for scholarships, and students attending college or trade school may apply for a scholarship renewal.
Community Support
The Nye Community Foundation supports numerous local community organizations, including the Nye School, Nye Volunteer Fire Department, Stillwater Ranch Hands 4-H Club, Dean Community Club, the Nye School Hunger Fighters, Beartooth VFW, Nye Church, AYSO, and the Stillwater Valley Watershed Council.
General Donation
Give a general donation to the Nye Community Foundation without earmarking it for a specific fundraising effort.
Your contribution may go to help fund a scholarship or grant for a community project, cover expenses like mailing costs, or feed our amazing volunteers.
Endowment
Starting in 2024, through 2028, Nye Community Foundation has set a goal to grow our endowment. Our endowment offers financial returns in perpetuity. The Montana Community Foundation is offering an immediate financial bonus to the Nye Community Foundation, if we meet our endowment goal of $10,000 in 2025, and $15,000 in 2026. We are currently halfway to our goal, any size donation will help us reach our goal. Your tax deductible donation of cash, stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, will bring immediate support to the community and ensure future returns too. This year we gave out $40,000 in scholarships to local students and supported 13 community groups. Please consider supporting this fundraising goal so we can give back more to the community. We will get an immediate bonus of $5500, if we reach our goal this year!
